実は彼女、アメリカの人気ファッション誌VOGUEで「芸者」風スタイル(2017年3月号)の写真が掲載されたことで公式に謝罪するまで追い込まれました。批判の内容は「日本の文化を盗用した」というものだったそうですが、日本人は逆に芸者の格好をしてくれて嬉しいという反応でしたよね。

カーリーは日本の着物風のデザインのドレスを身にまとい、日本酒の樽の前や神社のような場所の階段、相撲取りの横など、いくつかの写真でポーズを取っています。しかし一部は朝鮮文化系の衣装のようにも見えますね。縁のない文化を盗用している」と非難があったようですが、何が問題なのか・・・某国のディズニーランドもどきの方がよっぽど悪質ですよね。
何だかよく分かりませんが、とんだとばっちりにあってしまったカーリー、数々のポジティブ発言を残しています！たのもしい！
