「彼女(ミス・ベトナム)はとてもかわいいのよ。英語がわかるフリをしてるんだけど、会話の後に質問するとこうやって(笑いながらうなずく)するの。可愛らしいわよね」

 

 

「ミス・カンボジアは全く英語を話さないし、他の誰も彼女の言葉を喋らないの。そんなの想像できる?フランセッサ(ミス・オーストラリア)は『すごい孤独』って言っていて、私もそれに同意するわ。可哀想なカンボジア」

 

 

 

 

 

他の国の代表者とともに、からかうような発言をした動画はすぐさま炎上し、外国人を見下した発言だという批判が相次ぎました。

 

 

 

 

 

 

サマーズさんはSNS上で謝罪していますが、まだ批判はおさまっていません。

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

いかにも典型的なミーンガールという感じですね。この様な内容の発言を投稿することが問題になるとも予測できないところに、教養のなさが伺えます。

しかし、サラを皮肉った動画が作られ、逆に社会からからかわれている状態。炎上は当分おさまる気配がありませんね・・・。
